Nearly 47,000 homeless people live in Los Angeles, up 11% from this time last year according to a recent study by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.
“Tomorrow, we are going to meet up with the lead singer of Emblem 3, Wesley Stromberg, and give out hundreds of Dumbo Lounge Sack’s to the homeless in Santa Monica. It’s going to be a great day and you should come down to the beach to witness it.”
The company which launched in April originally created the sacks from Jared and Jack’s own experience being lovers of the outdoors. “As adventurers, we could relate to the need for versatile and portable comfort in any scenario. Whether it’s adventures to the beach or hiking up mountains, Dumbo’s can conveniently come along any trek and provide ultimate comfort within seconds.”
“Instead of sleeping on the ground, we want to offer our city’s homeless a more comfortable alternative that they can inflate without any equipment and simply deflate, pack, and carry easily with them,” added Jared and Jack.
While Dumbo may not decrease the city’s homeless population, it is certainly trying to provide comfort and humanity to those in need with nowhere to turn.
